The first public meeting on the development of a TMDL implementation plan (IP) for the Stroubles Creek watershed was held last night, June 1st, in the Blacksburg Town Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 300 South Main Street from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Twenty-five people were in attendance. The following presentations were given during the meeting:

VT Facilities also discussed the basics of its MS4 program. Focus groups are being formed for the following sectors of the watershed:
Agriculture/Rural
Residential/Urban
Public Works

At least two meetings will be planned for each Focus Group over the next couple of months, tentatively set for late-June and late-July. Respondents for each Focus Group will be polled for exact dates and times. The results will be reported in a future posting to this forum.
