Hi everyone!
We’ll hold a second TAC meeting for Lick Creek on February 15th in Dante, VA. I’ve attached the detailed DEQ notice from Shelley Williams (the new TMDL Coordinator) below. I hope to see everyone there! I’ll post some materials for the meeting as the date draws closer.

“Hello,
The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy and the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) have begun the water quality study or Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) study for Lick Creek in Russell County, Virginia. We had our first open watershed public meeting on November 28. Following that meeting we received formal, detailed technical comments from an industry group. Therefore, we propose a second meeting on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 10 AM to discuss in detail these technical comments.
We wish to ensure that all stakeholders have an opportunity to participate and have scheduled the meeting for Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 10 AM. The meeting will be held at the Dante Lives On facility beside the Dante Post Office in the old Clinchfield Coal Office Building in Dante Virginia. To reach this location from St. Paul, travel on Route 63 to Dante and exit to downtown Dante. When you reach the Post Office the meeting room is located in the building beside the store next to this Post Office. Turn onto the bridge and park behind the office building. The meeting entry is from the parking area.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the TAC meeting. If you cannot attend this meeting we plan to have one more public meeting, after these technical issues are resolved later this spring, to present the final document to the public for final comments.
Thank you,
Shelley D. Williams
