Hi everyone!

The final public meeting date has been set.  We’ve been chugging away at the watershed characterization and modeling based on feedback from the technical advisory committee meeting in February and finally have some results about ready to show you!

The final public meeting will be held on September 17th at 7 pm at the Cedar Bluff Town Hall (115 Central Ave, Cedar Bluff, Virginia).

We’ll be presenting the reduction scenarios we’ve determined from modeling and handing out copies of the executive summary of the TMDL report.  A little closer to the meeting time I’ll have the full report available for you to download here, so check back in a couple weeks.

As some of you may have heard, I have actually moved to England at this point, so my boss, Dr. Brian Benham, will be presenting the information at the public meeting.  I hope you’ll all come out and hear what he has to say!

At long last I’ve completed the first draft of the Indian Creek TMDL report.  You can download it here; we’ll have copies of the executive summary available at the meeting on Monday.

Happy reading!

If you attended the public meeting last night, you may have noticed that the final allocations were slightly different than what you see in the draft report here.  I was working to the last minute trying to get something more reasonable to work, and did find something right before the meeting - this is the reason for the difference.  I’ll have a new version of the report with the additional allocation options up here by the end of the week.

As promised, here is the revised version of the DRAFT Indian Creek TMDL report that includes the allocation scenarios as presented at the final public meeting on September 17.  There is now a 30-day comment period for stakeholders to provide feedback on the report.

Happy Reading!
