Overview of Education

The Center is committed to educational advancement within the areas of TMDL and watershed studies.  A graduate course intitled  BSE 5984 TMDL Development and Implementation was developed to introduce graduate level students to the history and policy issues associated with the TMDL program and to the basic techniques and procedures used in TMDL development and implementation.  The course will be taught again sometime in 2007.   

The Center has also taught 12 workshops relating to TMDL and watershed studies.  Course titles and course information can be found in the Workshops section.  A part of the workshop material is the development of an online teaching model intitled Fate and Transport of Fecal Bacteria in the Environment; this modules provides a good overview of the science behind the TMDLs.
